Chalet Anderson

The Brief

The clients bought their new chalet off-plan and needed weekly liaisons with the builders.  This chalet was a new build, so lots of work from the start, with electric plans and design ideas.

We were instructed to be involved in all aspects of the build of this new ski chalet in Morzine, from construction, decorations, through to furnishings and completion.

Debbie and I had a couple of shopping trips together, one to Annecy, I arranged to have a private meeting in one of my favourite shops, which opened for two hours just for Debbie, where we were able to choose lots of lovely furnishings and fabrics for the chalet.

Debbie wanted to walk in at the end of the build and design process and her chalet to be ready for them to use for their Christmas holiday…which she did!

This chalet is a modern family home, with lots of space for the family, the chalet overlooks Morzine, part of the Portes du Soleil in The French Alps

As we live in the UK, the prospect of overseeing the construction of our chalet in Morzine was daunting. Suzanne relieved us of a lot of this stress, by liaising with the builders and architects keeping us updated and providing weekly progress reports.
Having someone reliable and trustworthy on-site was invaluable, especially as Suzanne has a good eye for detail; she was quick to suggest improvements to design such as changing standard plastic light switches to chrome ones, or advising builders where to place spotlights, light switches, saving us much time and many frayed nerves. It was great fun working with Suzanne throughout the project and we appreciate all the advice on colour schemes, room layout and lighting, not to mention the various shopping trips to choose furniture and other decorative accessories. We were impressed with the comprehensive and professional service that Mountain Home Interiors provided us, and would not hesitate to recommend them”
